Valentine’s day is about showing that special someone how much you care about them. Ultimately, it IS the thought that counts, not the amount of candies and flowers you can gather up at the last minute. If you’ve been too busy to plan an elaborate Valentine’s Day dinner for your honey bunny, no fret! Our favorite last-minute Valentine’s Dinner is an all-time favorite…dinner and a movie! Here are some tips on how to create the perfect last-minute Valentine’s Day dinner:
1) Order a pepperoni pizza ahead of time and cut out the pepperoni slices into the shape of hearts! It’ll be a fun surprise to open the box and see tiny little red hearts scattered through the pizza.
2) Light some candles. You don’t need to go all out and buy fancy candles. Buy some inexpensive tealight candles and pop them in a couple coffee cups. You can find them at nearly any thrift store or supermarket. And there you go. The perfect way to set a romantic mood for the evening.
3) Rent a romantic movie. Here’s a list of some of the best romantic movies of all time. Casablanca is an oldie but definitely a goodie. Looking for something more lighthearted? Check out 50 First Dates, Nottinghill, and Sleepless In Seattle.
4) Make chocolate covered strawberries. If you have a stove and a pot, you can make your own chocolate covered strawberries to enjoy as dessert. Run to the store and buy a bag of chocolate chips and a box of strawberries before your date arrives. Once the movie is over, you can head over the kitchen and have some fun with dipping strawberries in melted chocolate. You can dip marshmallows and pretzels sticks and make it a romantic fondue party for two!
Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
